"The trip was neatly organised; we got enough time to see the scenery and enjoy water sports activities. The sound and light show was awesome. Tip: Try scuba diving at Havelock Island; it is an unforgettable memory."
-Shubham Tidke
That was how Shubham Tidke summed up his Andaman holiday after returning home.
Many island vacations look perfect on paper but end up feeling rushed once they begin. Travellers spend more time moving between attractions than actually enjoying them. For Shubham and Divya, however, Andaman felt different. Over five days, they explored Port Blair and Havelock Island, enjoyed some of the region's most famous beaches, learned about the islands' history, and experienced the underwater world that attracts visitors from across the globe.
The First Surprise Came in Port Blair

For many travellers, Port Blair is simply the starting point of an Andaman trip. For Shubham and Divya, however, it delivered one of the most memorable evenings of the journey.
Their first day combined two very different sides of the islands. The afternoon at Corbyn's Cove Beach brought sea views, fresh air, and a relaxed introduction to island life. Just a few hours later, they found themselves standing inside Cellular Jail, a place deeply connected to India's freedom struggle.
The highlight came after sunset.
As the Light and Sound Show began, the historic walls of the jail seemed to come alive with stories from the past. What started as a sightseeing stop quickly became an emotional experience. Looking back, Shubham specifically mentioned the show as one of the standout moments of the trip, proving that Andaman offers much more than beaches and water sports.
Why Havelock Became the Favourite
Havelock Island was where the trip shifted gears.
Radhanagar Beach offered exactly what travellers imagine when they think of Andaman—soft white sand, turquoise water, and long stretches of coastline that seem to go on forever. Unlike crowded tourist beaches elsewhere, there was enough space to simply walk along the shore and enjoy the surroundings.
The following day brought a very different experience at Elephant Beach. Known for its clear waters and marine life, the beach quickly became the adventure capital of the trip. Water sports added excitement to the day, but one activity stood above everything else. When Shubham later shared a tip for future travellers, he didn't recommend a restaurant or viewpoint.
He recommended scuba diving.
"Try scuba at Havelock Island. It is an unforgettable memory."
For someone returning from a five-day holiday filled with beaches, ferry rides, and sightseeing, that says a lot.
The Beauty of Doing Less

One of the surprising lessons from the trip was that not every memorable moment needed an activity attached to it.
After the excitement of water sports and sightseeing, places like Kalapathar Beach offered something completely different. Unlike the busier attractions, there was no schedule to follow and nothing specific to tick off a list. The dark volcanic rocks scattered along the shoreline created a striking contrast against the turquoise water, while the steady sound of the waves made it easy to simply sit back and take in the view.
For Shubham and Divya, these quieter stops became welcome breaks between the more adventurous experiences. Instead of rushing to the next attraction, they found themselves spending longer than expected walking along the shore, taking photographs, and watching the colours of the sea change under the afternoon sun.
The same was true for the ferry rides connecting the islands.
What could have been a simple transfer quickly became part of the holiday itself. Standing on the deck, feeling the sea breeze, and watching small islands appear and disappear on the horizon turned the journey into an experience. There was always a sense of anticipation about what awaited on the next island.
Why Shubham Would Recommend Thrillophilia
When travellers describe a trip as "worth it," they are usually talking about more than just the destination.
For Shubham, a large part of the experience came down to how smoothly everything was organised. The arrangements allowed him and Divya to focus on exploring the islands rather than worrying about logistics.
The trip was coordinated by Ashish Tripathi and the Thrillophilia team, helping ensure that transfers, accommodations, and sightseeing plans came together seamlessly.
Looking back, Shubham's review captures the experience perfectly.
The trip was organised well. There was enough time to enjoy every destination. The history was fascinating. The beaches exceeded expectations. And the scuba diving experience created a memory that will stay with him for years.
For travellers considering Andaman, that might be the strongest recommendation of all.
