Kiran Avula from Andhra Pradesh and Pavani Suji spent eight days in Bali in July 2026, moving between Ubud and Kuta with a private pool villa to start and a candlelight dinner on Jimbaran Beach to close. "We had one of the best experiences during our Bali trip," Kiran said in his review. "The itinerary was very well planned and executed perfectly for an amazing experience." Eight days is a good amount of time to actually feel like you have been somewhere properly, and this itinerary used every one of them well.

Two Nights in Ubud to Start

They checked into Barong Bali Resort Ubud on the first day, a one-bedroom deluxe room with a private pool. Starting a Bali trip in Ubud rather than Kuta is a good call if you want to get a feel for the island before the beach energy takes over. The first evening was for settling in and the private pool took care of everything else.

Kintamani, the Rice Terraces, and the Jungle Swing

Day two was a nine-hour Kintamani highlands tour covering the volcanic crater, Tegenungan Waterfall, the Tegalalang Rice Terraces, a coffee plantation, and the Bali Jungle Swing with unlimited swings and nests. The rice terraces in the Ubud hills are one of those sights that photographs suggest but do not quite prepare you for in person, the terraces dropping away in layers with the valley below catching the morning light. The Bali Swing above the jungle canopy is the activity that tends to end up in every camera roll from the trip, and rightfully so.

Handara Gate and Moving to Kuta

Day three was the transfer to Kuta with a stop at Handara Gate and Leke Leke Waterfall on the way. Handara Gate in the northern highlands is framed by pine trees and mist and looks completely unlike the rest of Bali, which is partly what makes it worth the detour. Leke Leke Waterfall tucked into the forest below it is the quieter complement to the gate's drama. By afternoon they were checked into Everyday Hotel Kuta Central, their base for the remaining five nights.

Water Sports, Padang Padang, and Uluwatu

Day four packed a lot in. The morning was Tanjung Benoa Beach with banana boat, a couple of parasailing, and scuba diving, which between them cover most of what you would want from a water sports morning. Then Padang Padang Beach, one of Bali's most beautiful small beaches tucked under a cliff with clear water and a relaxed atmosphere. And then the Uluwatu Sunset Tour in the evening with the Kecak Fire Dance. Nine hours in total, and the three parts of the day were different enough from each other that it never felt repetitive.

Nusa Penida

Day five was Nusa Penida, a fast boat from Bali Port and a full west island tour covering Kelingking Beach, Angel's Billabong, Broken Bay, and Bubu Beach with snorkelling and a local lunch included.

Ten and a half hours, and the island delivered on every front. Kelingking's cliff and the beach below it, Angel's Billabong's natural seawater pool at the island's edge, the snorkelling in clear water between stops. By the time the fast boat brought them back to Bali in the evening, Nusa Penida had done what it always does, which is become the day the rest of the trip gets measured against.

A Free Day at Leisure

Day six was eight hours with a private car rental, no fixed itinerary, just Kuta and its surroundings at their own pace. Seminyak is close, the beach is always there, and a day without a schedule in the middle of a packed trip is a welcome reset.

Jimbaran Beach Candlelight Dinner

Day seven was the candlelight dinner on Jimbaran Beach, a vegetarian setup with the beach right there, the fishing boats visible on the water, and the kind of evening that rounds off a Bali trip properly. Jimbaran at night is one of those settings that works without needing anything extra. The beach, the candles, the sound of the water, and dinner with a view of the Indian Ocean is straightforward and genuinely lovely.

Day eight was checkout and the transfer back to Ngurah Rai.
