Welcoming a new year calls for a celebration in a place that feels completely magical. That is what Raj Kumar Singh thought. He believed that the best way to ring in the milestone was a special family vacation to the UAE with his two daughters, Rimjhim and Anaya. Traveling from Mumbai, Raj wanted a holiday that combined the dazzling modern wonders of Dubai with a laid-back experience for his daughters. Their celebration began the moment they touched down in the city, checking into the comfortable Howard Johnson Plaza By Wyndham Dubai Deira. The family immediately fell in love with Dubai's incredible skyscrapers, which seemed to stretch infinitely into the sky. Their very first evening featured a relaxing Dhow Cruise along the Dubai Marina Harbour. Floating past the glowing city, the family stood on the deck to admire the brilliantly lit cityscapes of Dubai. Later that evening, they shared a delicious dinner while watching a traditional Tanoura dance performance on the cruise itself. They vibed and enjoyed their heart out, curious as to what the New Year celebrations would bring in Dubai.
Standing Amidst Architectural Legends and Sky-High Frames
The second day brought the family face-to-face with Dubai's most famous modern icons. They began on an extensive city sightseeing tour, with a major highlight being the spectacular Dubai Frame. Standing before this giant golden structure, Raj and his daughters were amazed by how it perfectly frames the contrast between old and historic Dubai on one side and the glittering new skyline on the other. They climbed up the Dubai Frame, and as they walked along the glass-bottom corridors, they could see the entire city sprawling in front of them- one side filled with towering buildings, and another, echoing the tales of the past.
As the afternoon wrapped up, they headed over to the monumental Burj Khalifa. Riding the high-speed elevators up to the 124th and 125th floors, the family stepped out to find an unmatched panoramic view of the vast city below. Standing hand-in-hand at the massive glass windows, they watched the sun set over the horizon, painting the sky in deep shades of orange and purple. This was a magical end to their second day, which made them wonder about what else the trip had in store for them. Raj had not disclosed the itinerary to his daughters, and that made them all the more excited to see what came next.
Spellbinding Light Shows and Futuristic Dreams
The magic continued the following day as they headed back down to the base of the tower for the famous Dubai Fountain show. Watching the water jets dance in perfect harmony to beautiful melodies, backed by the stunning light and sound displays across the face of the Burj Khalifa, was an emotional highlight for Raj and his daughters. The intricate choreography of lights and music reflecting off the water left them completely spellbound.
The subsequent days kept their excitement rolling with a mix of high-tech wonders and deep-rooted traditions. They stepped into the surreal, glowing world of the AYA Universe park before heading out for a thrilling Desert Safari, complete with high-energy dune bashing and a BBQ dinner under the desert stars. They also explored the colorful walkways of the Miracle Garden and the massive global pavilions at Global Village, followed by a grand day trip to Abu Dhabi that included the majestic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the speed rides at Ferrari World.
The peak of their holiday arrived on December 31st, as they spent their free leisure day soaking in the festive energy of the city. Surrounded by the incredible skyscrapers of Dubai, the family celebrated a magnificent New Year's Eve together, making memories they will cherish forever before heading back to Mumbai on New Year's Day.
