"The whole experience was really nice. The trip we planned was for 4 nights and 5 days to Kerala, which includes 2 days in Munnar, 1 day in Thekkady and 1 day in Alleppey Houseboat. I would like to thank Aditi and the Thrillophilia team for arranging the trip. Our journey was greatly enhanced by our driver cum guide, Premson. Premson's warmth, extensive knowledge, and assistance were invaluable throughout the trip."

– Anamika Kumari

Some family holidays are remembered for the destinations. Others are remembered for the time spent together along the way.

For Anamika Kumari and her family, this Kerala journey offered both.

Over five days, Ranjit Kumar, Sangita Kumari, Rajat Kumar, and Anamika travelled through the misty hills of Munnar, the forests of Thekkady, and the peaceful backwaters of Alleppey. Each destination brought something different, creating a trip that never felt repetitive despite its short duration.

Munnar Welcomed the Family with Waterfalls and Tea-Covered Hills

Nature's beauty at its most raw and peaceful

The trip began in Kochi, where the family was greeted by Kerala's warm hospitality before setting off towards Munnar.

The drive itself felt like the start of the adventure.

As the roads climbed higher into the hills, the scenery began to change. Tall buildings were replaced by dense greenery, winding mountain roads, and waterfalls flowing through the forests. Stops at Neriamangalam Bridge, Cheeyappara Waterfalls, and Valara Waterfalls gave the family plenty of opportunities to stretch their legs and take photographs.

The family visited the Tata Tea Museum and learned how tea cultivation helped shape the area's history and economy. Looking across the vast tea plantations, they could see why Munnar's landscapes have become so iconic.

There were also lighter moments throughout the day. The chocolate tasting experience at Macofa Chocolate Factory quickly became a favourite stop, while viewpoints such as Yellapatty Grassland and 2nd Mile Viewpoint offered sweeping views of the surrounding hills.

Thekkady Offered a Different Side of Kerala

Enjoying the simple beauty of Kerala's backwaters

After two days in the hills, the family continued towards Thekkady.

The scenery gradually shifted once again. Tea estates gave way to forests, spice plantations, and wildlife habitats.

Thekkady felt very different from Munnar. Instead of focusing on mountain views, the destination introduced the family to Kerala's rich biodiversity and natural ecosystems.

At Periyar Lake, they enjoyed the calm atmosphere that has made the region famous among nature lovers. Surrounded by greenery, the lake offered a peaceful setting and a chance to slow down after the previous days of sightseeing.

The visit to Elephant Junction added another memorable experience to the journey. Getting close to these gentle giants brought plenty of excitement and quickly became one of the highlights of the day.

For the family, Thekkady added variety to the trip. It showed that Kerala is not just about tea plantations and hill stations. It is also home to forests, wildlife, and unique natural experiences.

One Night in Alleppey Created Memories That Will Last for Years

Creating unforgettable memories with Kerala's gentle giant

Every trip has one experience that people continue talking about long after they return home.

For Anamika and her family, that experience was the houseboat stay in Alleppey.

After spending days travelling through hills and forests, arriving at the backwaters felt like entering a completely different world.

Life moved at a slower pace here.

As the houseboat glided through the backwaters, they watched fishermen at work, children playing near the water, and residents going about their daily lives. Meals served onboard brought everyone together around the dining table, while the peaceful atmosphere created the perfect opportunity for family conversations.

As evening approached, the backwaters became even more beautiful.

The reflections on the water, the gentle movement of the boat, and the calm surroundings made it easy to understand why Alleppey is often considered the heart of Kerala tourism.

For the family, it was the perfect way to conclude their journey through the state.

Why They Chose Thrillophilia

Looking back, Anamika's review focused not only on the destinations but also on the people who helped make the trip so comfortable.

She specifically thanked Aditi Choudhary and the Thrillophilia team for planning and coordinating the holiday.

However, the person who received the most appreciation was their driver and guide, Premson.

As Anamika shared:

"Our journey was greatly enhanced by our driver cum guide, Premson. Premson's warmth, extensive knowledge, and assistance were invaluable throughout the trip."

She also highlighted how his communication skills and driving expertise made the family feel comfortable throughout the journey.

"His adept driving skills and fluency in both Hindi and English added an extra layer of comfort and enjoyment to our experience."

For Ranjit, Sangita, Rajat, and Anamika, Kerala delivered exactly what they had hoped for. Beautiful landscapes, memorable experiences, and quality time spent together as a family.

And perhaps the best summary came in the final line of Anamika's review:

"Thank you for this beautiful experience, Thrillophilia Team."

After five days of exploring hills, forests, and backwaters, the family returned home carrying memories that would stay with them long after the trip had ended.
