– Eswar MVS

Most travellers assume that four days are barely enough for a proper holiday.

Eswar MVS and his partner discovered otherwise.

Their Kerala trip lasted only four days and three nights, yet by the end of it, they had experienced waterfalls, tea plantations, scenic drives, backwaters, and local culture without ever feeling like they were racing through a checklist. The journey moved at a comfortable pace, allowing them to enjoy each experience while still covering some of Kerala's most loved destinations.

The Trip Started With a Grand Welcome

Where love met the beauty of Kerala

Some destinations ease travellers into a holiday.

Kerala chose a different approach.

Soon after arriving in Kochi, Eswar and his partner found themselves standing before Athirappilly Waterfalls, one of the largest and most impressive waterfalls in South India. The sight of water crashing down through dense greenery instantly made the long journey feel worthwhile.

It was the kind of place that naturally slows people down. There was no rush to leave. The couple spent time admiring the falls, taking photographs, and enjoying the fresh air before continuing towards Munnar.

The drive itself became part of the experience.

Winding roads, rolling hills, and stretches of greenery made the journey feel less like a transfer and more like an introduction to Kerala. By the time they reached Munnar, they already felt far removed from everyday routines.

For a trip that lasted only four days, it was a memorable way to begin.

The Best Views Were Not Always the Planned Ones

Chasing waterfalls and collecting memories

Munnar offered plenty of famous attractions.

There were tea plantations, lakes, viewpoints, and gardens spread across the region. Eswar and his partner visited places like Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Blossom Park, and Kundala Lake, each adding something different to the day.

Yet some of their favourite moments likely came between the attractions.

The roads connecting one stop to another often revealed sweeping views of tea estates stretching across the hills. Low clouds drifted across the valleys. Small roadside stalls appeared unexpectedly. Sometimes a simple bend in the road offered a better view than any designated viewpoint.

That is one of the reasons Munnar remains so popular among travellers.

The destination rewards those who are willing to slow down and appreciate the journey itself.

For the couple, the second day became less about ticking places off an itinerary and more about enjoying the atmosphere that makes Munnar special.

The Houseboat Changed the Entire Mood of the Holiday

Every trip has a moment when the pace shifts.

For Eswar and his partner, that moment arrived in Alleppey.

Until then, the journey had involved drives, sightseeing, and exploring new places. Once they stepped onto their houseboat, everything changed.

There was nowhere to hurry.

The backwaters moved at their own pace, and so did the travellers.

As the boat glided through the canals, the couple watched fishermen at work, children playing near the banks, and locals going about their daily routines. Coconut trees reflected on the water while small villages appeared and disappeared along the route.

Unlike many tourist experiences, the houseboat stay did not demand constant attention. It simply invited them to relax and observe.

The peaceful surroundings, meals served onboard, and uninterrupted views turned the stay into much more than accommodation.

It became one of the defining memories of the trip.

Why They Chose Thrillophilia ?

One of the biggest surprises of the journey was how complete it felt despite lasting only four days.

Many short holidays leave travellers wishing they had one or two extra days. Eswar's experience was different.

The itinerary managed to combine nature, relaxation, sightseeing, and unique local experiences without making the schedule feel overwhelming. Every day brought a different setting, which helped the trip feel longer than it actually was.

The journey was planned by Ayush Shandilya from Thrillophilia, who helped create a balanced itinerary that made the most of a short travel window. Instead of trying to squeeze in too many attractions, the focus remained on creating a comfortable experience that allowed the couple to enjoy each destination properly.

Looking back, the strongest endorsement came from Eswar's own words.

"We are looking forward to travelling with Thrillophilia."

For many travellers, that is often the clearest sign of a successful holiday.

The trip may have lasted only four days, but it left behind enough memories to inspire plans for the next adventure.
