"We went as a family of 8, and as promised by Sales Agent Kapil, everything was great. We had a great experience at Munnar and Alleppey. It was raining heavily, but still the driver was able to guide us. Transportation was comfortable. The houseboat was great at Alleppey. I definitely consider and recommend Thrillophilia for future tours."

Travelling as a large family sounds exciting until the planning begins.

Some people enjoy nature; others prefer relaxed sightseeing. Different age groups travel at different paces, and keeping everyone comfortable throughout the trip is often the biggest challenge.

For the DSouza family, Kerala proved to be one of those destinations that naturally brought everyone together.

Over five days, the family travelled through Munnar, Thekkady, and Alleppey, experiencing tea-covered hills, waterfalls, forests, wildlife attractions, and Kerala's famous backwaters. More importantly, they got to enjoy those experiences together, without worrying about logistics or constantly adjusting plans.

Munnar Gave Everyone Something Different to Enjoy

The journey began with a drive from Kochi to Munnar.

Even before reaching the hill station, there was plenty to see. Stops at Neriamangalam Bridge, Cheeyappara Waterfalls, and Valara Waterfalls gave the family their first glimpse of Kerala's lush landscapes. The waterfalls were particularly impressive and naturally became some of the first family photo stops of the trip.

As the roads climbed higher into the hills, Munnar slowly revealed itself through endless tea plantations, winding roads, and cool mountain air.

The following day was spent exploring the region's highlights.

Some members of the family enjoyed learning about Munnar's tea-growing heritage at the Tata Tea Museum. Others were more interested in the chocolate tasting experience at Macofa Chocolate Factory. The viewpoints around the hill station attracted everyone, offering sweeping views of the valleys and tea estates that stretched far into the distance.

That was perhaps what made Munnar such a good destination for the group.

No matter what kind of traveller someone was, there always seemed to be something that caught their attention. While one person admired the scenery, another was busy taking photographs, and someone else was searching for the best local snacks nearby.

By the end of their stay, Munnar had already become one of the favourite parts of the trip.

One Houseboat Brought Everyone Together

Every family holiday has one experience that people continue talking about long after they return home.

For the DSouza family, that experience was Alleppey.

After days spent exploring hills, viewpoints, and forests, the atmosphere changed completely once they stepped aboard their houseboat. There was no rush to visit multiple attractions. No fixed sightseeing schedule to follow. Instead, the family settled into a slower rhythm as the houseboat moved through Kerala's famous backwaters.

The setting itself felt uniquely Kerala.

Narrow canals connected small villages. Coconut trees lined the waterways. Fishing boats drifted past as local residents carried on with their daily routines along the banks.

With everyone staying together onboard, the experience became about much more than sightseeing.

Meals were shared around the dining table. Conversations stretched longer than usual. Family photographs were taken from the deck as the scenery slowly unfolded around them.

Some sat outside watching the backwaters pass by. Others simply enjoyed the opportunity to relax after several days of exploring.

By evening, as the houseboat floated quietly through the waterways, it became easy to understand why Alleppey remains one of Kerala's most loved experiences.

For many travellers, a houseboat stay lasts only one night. For the DSouza family, it created memories that would last far longer.

Why the DSouza Family Chose Thrillophilia?

Looking back, Ivan's review focused on something simple.
The trip delivered exactly what had been promised.
"As promised by Sales Agent Kapil everything was great."
For a family travelling in a large group, that reliability matters.

The accommodations were comfortable, transportation worked smoothly, and the itinerary balanced sightseeing with enough flexibility for everyone to enjoy the experience at their own pace.

Ivan also appreciated the support provided throughout the journey, particularly when it came to transportation and on-ground assistance.

The trip was coordinated by Kapil Nathrani, who helped bring together an itinerary that allowed the family to experience some of Kerala's most popular destinations within a short timeframe.

As Ivan shared:

"Transportation was comfortable. The houseboat was great at Alleppey. I definitely consider and recommend Thrillophilia for future tours."

After five days of waterfalls, tea plantations, forests, and backwaters, the family returned home with plenty of photographs and stories.

But more importantly, they returned with something every family holiday hopes to create: shared memories that every member of the group could look back on and enjoy long after the journey had ended.
