The state offers hills, tea plantations, waterfalls, backwaters and historic cities, but experiencing all of them within a short break could easily mean spending most of the trip in transit.

After the hills of Munnar, the journey took a deliberate change in direction. The group travelled to Alleppey for an overnight stay on a premium houseboat.

Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Palace and the Chinese Fishing Nets offered a look into the city's layered cultural past, while Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica added another architectural stop.

Marine Drive provided a more relaxed contrast, allowing the group to experience Kochi's waterfront before the trip came to a close. The itinerary also included LuLu International Shopping Mall, giving the final day a more contemporary element alongside the heritage sightseeing.
