“We recently completed our Singapore, Malaysia, and Bangkok family trip booked through Thrillophilia, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.”

A family holiday becomes a completely different kind of adventure when three generations are travelling together.

When Sreekanth Yadav Basaram planned an international holiday with his family, the idea was simple: make the most of their time together and give everyone something to look forward to. With grandparents, two young children, and the parents travelling together, the trip needed the right excitement, sightseeing, and experiences that worked for everyone.

What followed was a nine-day journey across three countries, with packed days, plenty of first-time experiences, and a few surprises along the way. From their first evening in Bangkok to the final days in Malaysia, the family kept moving from one experience to the next, discovering a very different side of each destination.

Here are some of the trip highlights that might just have you reaching for your phone and planning your next family adventure with Thrillophilia!

Bangkok: Wildlife, River Views and an Exciting Start

A Memorable Singapore Escape with Sreekanth’s Family

The family began their holiday in Bangkok, where their first evening was spent on the Chao Phraya Princess Dinner Cruise. Cruising along the Chao Phraya River after sunset offered views of Bangkok's illuminated skyline while the family enjoyed dinner on board. It was an easy-going way to begin the trip before the adventure became more action-packed.

The following day was all about Safari World and Marine Park, giving both the adults and children an entire day of wildlife and entertainment. The Safari Park experience brought them closer to animals in an open setting, while the Marine Park added shows and attractions to the day. With lunch included and transportation arranged, the family could spend the day enjoying the park rather than worrying about getting around.

Singapore: Where Every Day Came with a New Highlight

Singapore was where the family holiday really shifted into high gear. Their first evening took them to Night Safari, one of the city's most popular wildlife experiences. A tram ride through the reserve allowed them to observe nocturnal animals in environments designed to resemble their natural habitats, making the experience particularly exciting for the children.

The next day combined Singapore's famous landmarks with the futuristic world of Gardens by the Bay. Their city tour covered the Singapore Flyer, Chinatown, Merlion Park, Helix Bridge, ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay, Esplanade and the Civic District, giving the family a broad introduction to the city.

Then came Gardens by the Bay, where the family explored Floral Fantasy and its elaborate floral displays. The contrast between Singapore's modern skyline and the immersive garden attractions made this one of those days where something was interesting around almost every corner.

But the biggest excitement was still waiting.

Universal Studios: The Family's Day of Pure Fun

A Magical Family Day at Universal Studios Singapore’s

The family dedicated an entire day to Universal Studios Singapore, turning the holiday into a full-blown theme-park adventure.

With an entire day inside the park, they could explore its themed zones, attractions and rides at their own pace. For the younger travellers, it was the kind of day built around excitement, characters and big rides, while the adults could join in rather than simply watching from the sidelines.

The following day continued the Sentosa adventure. The family took a Singapore cable car ride, giving them aerial views as they travelled towards the island. They then visited the Singapore Oceanarium, where enormous marine habitats offered a closer look at underwater life.

As evening arrived, they watched Wings of Time, the spectacular outdoor show combining lights, water, music and visual effects. After several days packed with sightseeing and attractions, ending the Singapore leg with a show by the sea was a fitting finale.

Malaysia: Batu Caves, Cable Cars and the Mountains of Genting

After Singapore, the family travelled to Kuala Lumpur, where the pace slowed slightly before another major excursion.

Their highlight here was a full-day trip combining Batu Caves and Genting Highlands. At Batu Caves, they encountered the enormous golden statue of Lord Murugan and the colourful staircase leading towards the limestone caves. It was a completely different experience from the futuristic attractions of Singapore.

The journey then continued towards Genting Highlands. The Awana SkyWay cable car carried the family up into the mountains, transforming the journey itself into part of the attraction. At Genting, they had time to explore the mountain resort and visit the Premium Outlets before making their way back to Kuala Lumpur.

Why Sreekanth Recommends Thrillophilia for a Family International Holiday

Travelling internationally with six family members across three countries means there are plenty of moving parts. Flights, airport transfers, hotels, sightseeing, attraction tickets and local transportation all need to connect properly, especially when children and senior travellers are part of the group.

Sreekanth appreciated that these details were handled smoothly throughout the journey. He specifically highlighted the hotel bookings, airport transfers, sightseeing tours and attraction tickets, saying that everything was arranged according to the planned itinerary.

The local coordinators also made a difference. Sreekanth described them as punctual and helpful, while the support team remained responsive when the family had questions before and during the trip. That reassurance becomes particularly valuable when travelling internationally with children.

The itinerary itself was curated by Nakul Gupta, Thrillophilia's destination expert, bringing together three very different destinations without making the holiday feel repetitive. Wildlife experiences in Bangkok and Singapore were balanced with theme parks, city sightseeing, island attractions, mountain landscapes and cultural landmarks in Malaysia.

Most importantly, the family could simply enjoy being together.

“Overall, it was a memorable and hassle-free vacation. Thank you, Thrillophilia, for helping us create beautiful family memories.”

For Sreekanth and his family, nine days meant three countries, countless attractions and something for every generation. From a Bangkok river cruise and nighttime wildlife to Universal Studios, Sentosa, Genting Highlands and Batu Caves, this was less about ticking destinations off a list and more about giving the entire family something exciting to remember.
