Singapore has a funny way of making a five-day holiday feel much longer. One moment, you are watching wildlife emerge from the darkness of a rainforest; the next, you are screaming your way through a roller coaster at Universal Studios. Then come the futuristic Supertrees, panoramic skyline views, cable cars floating above Sentosa and an evening show that lights up the water.

For Sandip Giri, that was the charm of Singapore. His itinerary packed in plenty without making the destination feel like a checklist. From the mysterious atmosphere of the Night Safari to the colourful world of Universal Studios and the futuristic beauty of Gardens by the Bay, every day brought something completely different.

And behind the scenes, there was another part of the trip that Sandip particularly appreciated. Apoorva Meena, his Guest Experience Officer, stayed involved with the itinerary and travel arrangements, while Saloni helped him understand the booking details well in advance. 

Singapore After Dark: Where the Adventure Began

Sandip's Singapore adventure started after sunset, and that turned out to be a pretty perfect introduction to the city. Instead of beginning with the usual daytime landmarks, his first major experience was the Singapore Night Safari, where the familiar idea of a wildlife park took on a completely different atmosphere.

As darkness settled in, the safari came alive. The tram ride took Sandip through different wildlife habitats while animals appeared in the shadows, making the experience feel far removed from an ordinary daytime zoo visit. Something was exciting about not knowing what might appear next, whether it was a rhino, a big cat or another animal quietly moving through the darkness.

Universal Studios: A Day Built for Adrenaline

If the Night Safari was about slowing down and watching the world around him, Universal Studios Singapore was the complete opposite. Sandip had an entire day to explore the theme park, with rides and attractions turning the second day of the trip into an all-out adventure.

From the moment he entered the park, the atmosphere changed. Movie-inspired zones, larger-than-life characters and colourful attractions created the feeling of stepping into different worlds throughout the day. There was plenty to explore, but the rides were naturally the biggest draw, with fast-paced attractions providing the kind of excitement that leaves you wanting to get back in line immediately after getting off.

After spending hours moving between attractions, taking photographs and soaking up the energy of the park, Sandip had experienced one of those days where even eight hours can somehow feel too short.

Singapore from Above and Among the Supertrees

The following day slowed things down again, but without losing the sense of discovery. Sandip explored Singapore's most recognisable sights during the city tour, passing through Chinatown, Merlion Park, Marina Bay, the Civic District, Esplanade and the Helix Bridge.

The contrast was hard to miss. Chinatown brought colourful streets and cultural character, while Marina Bay presented the polished, futuristic side of Singapore. At Merlion Park, the city's famous half-lion, half-fish icon provided one of those quintessential Singapore moments, while the surrounding skyline made it clear why Marina Bay is one of the city's most photographed areas.

Then came the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, where Sandip could finally see the city from a completely different angle. From high above the streets, Singapore's dense skyline, waterfront and architectural landmarks came together into one enormous panorama. After seeing the city at street level, looking down on the same places from above made the scale of Singapore much easier to appreciate.

But the day wasn't finished yet.

As evening approached, Sandip headed to Gardens by the Bay, where Singapore's futuristic personality really took over. The Supertree Grove looked almost otherworldly against the evening sky, while the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest offered completely different experiences inside. It was the kind of place where there was something worth photographing around practically every corner.

Sentosa: Cable Cars, Celebrity Faces and a Show Under the Stars

Sandip's final full day brought another change of pace with a visit to Sentosa Island. The journey itself was part of the experience. Rather than simply driving onto the island, he took the Singapore Cable Car, gliding above the landscape with views of the city, harbour and coastline below.

Once on Sentosa, the fun continued at Madame Tussauds, the iconic wax figures museum. There, Sandip got up close with incredibly lifelike wax figures of famous personalities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Lewis Hamilton and Shah Rukh Khan.

But the best part was saved for the evening.

As darkness settled over Sentosa, Wings of Time brought the trip towards its finale! A spectacular display of lights, music, water and storytelling. After four days that had already covered wildlife, theme parks, skyscrapers, gardens and cultural landmarks, ending with a large-scale outdoor show felt like the perfect way to round things off.

While the attractions gave Sandip plenty to remember, he was equally appreciative of the people who helped make the holiday come together.
