"Thank you so much for making our honeymoon remarkable."

Some holidays are planned around places travellers want to see.

A honeymoon carries a slightly different purpose. The destination becomes the backdrop, while the moments shared along the way become the real memories.

For Fayazur Rahman and Wahima Tahrin Hussain, Kashmir provided exactly that backdrop. Their four-day honeymoon took them from the green valleys of Pahalgam to the calm waters of Dal Lake, through Srinagar's Mughal gardens and up into the mountains of Gulmarg. Every day brought a different setting, giving the newlyweds plenty of opportunities to slow down, explore, and enjoy their first journey together as a married couple. From the apple orchards along the roads to the shikara gliding across Dal Lake, their Kashmir experience unfolded like a collection of postcard moments.

Pahalgam Was the Perfect Beginning

Fayazur and Wahima soaked in Kashmir’s scenic beauty, surrounded by lush meadows, pine forests, and majestic mountains

Their first morning in Kashmir began with a drive from Srinagar towards Pahalgam.

The landscape gradually changed as the city gave way to open countryside, apple orchards, and vast saffron fields. The journey itself became their first introduction to Kashmir's famous natural beauty.

Once they reached Pahalgam, the couple explored three of its most scenic destinations: Aru Valley, Betaab Valley, and Chandanwari.

Each valley offered a different view of the region. Green meadows stretched between dramatic mountain slopes, streams cut through the landscape, and the crisp mountain air made the entire experience feel refreshingly different from city life.

For a honeymoon, the setting could hardly have been more fitting.

The couple spent the evening back at their stay in Pahalgam, surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the Valley of Shepherds. After a day spent exploring the mountains together, the slower pace gave them time to simply enjoy being there.

Srinagar Turned the Journey More Romantic

The next day brought a change of scenery as Fayazur and Wahima travelled from Pahalgam to Srinagar.

Their sightseeing introduced them to the city's celebrated Mughal heritage. They visited Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, where manicured gardens, fountains, terraces, and mountain views created an atmosphere that felt distinctly Kashmiri.

They also explored the Shankaracharya Temple and spent time around Lal Chowk, experiencing a different side of Srinagar through its bustling streets and local markets.

Then came the experience that became especially memorable for a honeymoon couple.

A Shikara ride across Dal Lake.

As their boat moved gently across the water, the surrounding mountains reflected across the lake, while the traditional houseboats and shikaras added to the scenery. The pace became slower, the surroundings became quieter, and the couple had the perfect opportunity to enjoy Kashmir together.

It was one of those experiences where the activity itself was simple, while the setting made it unforgettable.

Gulmarg Brought a Little Adventure to the Honeymoon

Fayazur and Wahima embraced Kashmir’s charm, capturing beautiful moments in traditional attire against the mountains

The following morning, the couple set out for Gulmarg.

The journey took them towards one of Kashmir's most famous mountain destinations, where wide landscapes and towering peaks created an entirely different atmosphere from Srinagar.

The highlight of the day was their ride on the famous Gulmarg Gondola.

They travelled through both Phase 1 and Phase 2, gaining increasingly dramatic views of the surrounding mountains as the cable car climbed higher. From above, the landscape opened into vast stretches of green and rugged Himalayan terrain.

The couple also had the opportunity to enjoy activities around Gulmarg, adding an adventurous touch to their honeymoon.

After spending the day among the mountains, they returned to Srinagar for their final evening in Kashmir.

By then, the journey had brought together everything a memorable short honeymoon could ask for: quiet valleys, beautiful gardens, mountain adventures, local experiences, and plenty of time spent together.

Why Wahima Chose Thrillophilia for Her Kashmir Honeymoon

For a honeymoon, the experience begins well before the couple reaches the destination.

There are hotels to select, transfers to arrange, sightseeing plans to coordinate, and activities to fit into a short travel window. For Fayazur and Wahima, having these details organised meant they could concentrate on enjoying their time together.

Their four-day itinerary brought together Pahalgam, Srinagar, Dal Lake, and Gulmarg while keeping the journey comfortable and well connected. Private transfers helped them move between destinations with ease, while the planned sightseeing ensured they experienced some of Kashmir's most loved places.

The trip was coordinated by Harsh, who helped bring the honeymoon plan together and ensured the arrangements were in place throughout the journey. The couple also appreciated the overall support they received from Thrillophilia.

Looking back at their experience, Wahima summed it up simply:

"It was great travelling with Thrillophilia. A trustworthy and cooperative travel agency."

For a newly married couple, those words carry plenty of meaning. A honeymoon is a deeply personal trip, and having dependable arrangements creates space for the couple to focus on what matters most: enjoying their first adventures together.

And Kashmir gave them plenty to remember.

There was the first glimpse of the mountains on the road to Pahalgam, the peaceful valleys of Aru and Betaab, the gardens of Srinagar, the gentle movement of the Shikara on Dal Lake, and the sweeping views from the Gulmarg Gondola.

As their four-day journey came to an end, they carried home more than photographs from Kashmir. They carried memories from a honeymoon spent discovering mountains, lakes, valleys, and new experiences together.
