"I recently did a trip to Switzerland with Thrillophilia, and I must say it was a seamless and beautiful experience from start to finish. I want to take a moment to share my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the team who made it possible."

This is how Abhiman's Switzerland review on Thrillophilia's platform started off.

Right from the start, the team made the trip's smoothness their top priority, given how intricate their route was and how any discrepancy in configuring the logistics can hamper the entire trip.

From availability checks to fine-tuning the itinerary until it felt tailored to the travellers, all logistics were accounted for, and what resulted was a long review from Abhiman, highlighting how seamless and comprehensive the entire trip felt.

Exactly what he wished for and what the team intended for.

Wengen Was the Right Place to Start

The snow-covered Swiss Alps left Abhiman and Sagarika in awe during their Switzerland adventure

They landed at Zurich on the 4th of October and boarded the train to Wengen the same day. The Swiss Travel Pass handled all of it.

Wengen is a car-free village in the Bernese Oberland, sitting above the Lauterbrunnen valley with the Jungfrau range across from it. Most travellers coming from India land in Switzerland and head straight to cities. Wengen first is the smarter sequence. The pace is slower, the air is quieter, and by the time the bigger experiences of the trip come around, you are already acclimatised to the altitude and the rhythm of Swiss mountain travel.

Interlaken and Grindelwald First Filled Day Two

Nature’s grandeur was on full display during their Swiss adventure

Lake Thun and Lake Brienz run parallel on either side of Interlaken, and the lakeside promenades between them are the kind of walking that does not feel like walking. The ferry ride across Lake Brienz is the quiet version of the afternoon.

The First Flyer zipline runs from the mountain station out over the valley, and the Cliff Walk is a steel walkway suspended along the cliff face with the drop visible below your feet. The itinerary included any two activities from the first range. Which two they picked says something about where Abhiman and Sagarika sit on the thrill scale.

Jungfraujoch Was the Day the Trip Peaked

The picturesque valleys and majestic mountains captured the essence of Switzerland

Day three was Jungfraujoch. The highest railway station in Europe, at 3,454 metres, reached by a cogwheel train that runs through the interior of the Eiger. The Aletsch Glacier spreads out below the Sphinx Observatory, twenty-three kilometres of ice moving imperceptibly towards the valley. The Ice Palace is carved directly into the glacier, the corridors green-lit and cold in a way that does not compare to anything else.

Zermatt and the Matterhorn Were Next

A scenic cable car ride offered Abhiman and Sagarika stunning views of Switzerland’s lush alpine landscapes

Day five was the train from Wengen to Zermatt. Another car-free village, this one sitting directly below the Matterhorn. The mountain is what Zermatt is built around, and no photograph does it justice. The pyramid shape is unlike any other peak in the Alps, and it shows up everywhere, including on the hotel breakfast table, from the main street, and in the window of the cable car on the way up to Glacier 3000.

Day six covered Glacier 3000, where the Peak Walk by Tissot connects two mountain peaks with a suspension bridge at 3,000 metres, and the afternoon visit to Lausanne and Vevey along Lake Geneva's shoreline. Lausanne has the Olympic Museum. Vevey has the Charlie Chaplin statue and the waterfront where the lake sits glassy on a calm October afternoon.

Zurich Closed the Trip on Three Strong Days

Day eight was Mount Titlis. The Titlis Rotair is the world's first rotating cable car, and it turns 360 degrees on the way up so everyone gets the view. The Glacier Cave at the top runs under the ice with lit passages that go on further than you expect. The Titlis Cliff Walk is Europe's highest suspension bridge, at 3,041 metres, and the Ice Flyer chairlift over the crevassed slopes fills out the afternoon.

Day nine was Mount Rigi, the gentler of the close-to-the-mountain days. Cogwheel trains up, panoramic views of Lake Lucerne below, and a picnic on the slopes with nobody nearby. Day ten was the airport and home.

How Thrillophilia's Team Contributed Relentlessly

A 10-day Switzerland itinerary with a 15-day Swiss Travel Pass, multiple mountain excursions, three different hotel bases, and activities that need advance booking across multiple operators is not the kind of trip that holds together without careful assembly on the planning side.

Shivani Y handled the pre-trip work. Abhiman's review specifically credits her patience across multiple revisions, saying, "She was extremely patient, positive, and supportive throughout the planning process. She answered all our questions with great clarity and helped us find the best hotels and experiences that perfectly matched our expectations. What I truly appreciated was how she accommodated all our revisions and ensured that the itinerary aligned with our dream vacation. Her attention to detail and customer-first approach made a huge difference.

Bhavya S handled the on-trip support. The quick responses, the last-minute query resolutions, the calm availability throughout the ten days.

Abhiman's review highlighted her as the anchor of the trip.

"She was always available and quick to respond, helping us with any queries or last-minute changes. Her calm and helpful nature made us feel very comfortable and well taken care of throughout our journey. 🧳 Overall Experience From pre-trip planning to on-trip support and post-trip follow-up,  everything was smooth and professional. The entire process was well-managed, and we never felt lost or unsupported at any stage."

Abhiman ended his review with one line that covers both of them. "It truly felt like Thrillophilia was with us every step of the way."
