Anirudh usually liked having a proper plan for trips. He was the kind of person who checked timings twice, saved locations, and made sure nothing was left uncertain.

Guided by Nidhi from Thrillophilia through various customisable packages with varying inclusions and budget ranges, Anirudh realised he might truly just let go on this trip.

And that was exactly what happened. Especially because of the comprehensive detailing about his trip logistics that he received with regular updates from the team, ensuring that he was familiar with all trip aspects without actually having to worry about them.

This level of planning and coordination shaped Anirudh's trip experience more than he realised.

It Started With Something Small but Stayed

Their stay at Pearle Beach Resort & Spa felt comfortable right from the beginning. The check-in was smooth, the room was exactly what they expected, and the beach being so close made everything feel lighter.

But the first real moment that stayed with them came that evening at dinner.

They quickly realised that finding proper vegetarian food was not as easy as they had assumed. There were a few options, but nothing that felt complete or familiar. For a while, they kept going back and forth on the menu, unsure of what would actually work.

The staff noticed.

Instead of just suggesting something basic, the chef came out, spoke to them, and asked what kind of food they preferred back home. It was a simple conversation, but it changed the experience. Over the next few days, meals were adjusted specially for them. Some dishes were not even on the menu but were prepared just to make sure they were comfortable.

By the second day, what started as a concern had quietly turned into one of the most thoughtful parts of the trip and found its place on Anirudh's Mauritius review on Thrillophilia's platform.

"Our Trip experience was really Good. Especially the Resort team was too generous to us. One thing which we would like to mention is that finding pure Vegetarian Food was so difficult in Mauritius. But, the Resort team and their chef tried very hard to serve us Veg food as much as they can."

Not Doing Everything Felt Right

At Ile Aux Cerfs, there was energy everywhere.

People were lining up for parasailing, rushing towards speedboats, calling out to each other, trying to fit in as much as possible. For a moment, Anirudh felt they should also try everything since they were already there.

But after thinking back on what made them take the trip in the first place, they decided to opt for a select few and focused on what mattered more: spending quality time with one another.

They walked slowly along the shore, stopped wherever they felt like, and spent a long time just standing in the water without any plan. No checklist, no rush, and no feeling of missing out.

A Different Side of Mauritius

The North tour, especially around Port Louis, felt like a complete shift.

Till then, Mauritius had been about calm beaches and open views. But here, it felt active, lived-in, and real. At Place D’Armes, they actually looked into the daily lives of the people, their movements, their activities, and their daily routines.

There was something interesting about standing still in a place that clearly had its own pace.

Later, at La Citadel, looking over at the city, Anirudh realised no Google searches gave him an idea about how lived-in Mauritius can feel, and that entirely changed how he perceived the trip.

The Quietest Moments Stayed the Longest

The South tour slowed things down again.

At Grand Bassin, the atmosphere felt different. People spoke softly, walked slowly, and naturally gave space to the place.

Despite trying to capture the vibrancy of the beach, no photograph seemed to capture the right shade of blue or how dense the scattered clouds looked.

And maybe that's just how things are supposed to be. Maybe experiencing it is the only way to capture it, and that's okay.

The Day That Had Nothing Planned

By Day 5, they had stopped thinking about what they were supposed to do.

They went back to Flic en Flac and walked along the same stretch they had seen on their first day. This time, it felt different. More familiar, more comfortable.

Sitting in the same spot they previously sat on, time seemed to come to a halt, and the day eased into an evening despite the couple wanting to hold onto it just for a little longer.

That's what five days in Mauritius does to you. It eases you into its rhythm until you suddenly realise that it's time for you to leave.

The Trip's End and Thrillophilia's Coordination

On the last day, there was no rush to squeeze in anything extra.

They packed slowly, had breakfast without checking their phones, and took one last look at the beach before leaving.

Later, when friends asked about the trip, Anirudh didn’t start with places or activities. He spoke about how easy everything felt. How even small challenges, like food, were handled with care.

Thrillophilia found its way into the conversation. The resort allocation based on the travellers' style; the curated list of all activities they could opt for without forcing a mandatory inclusion because Anirudh wanted a relaxed trip; and most importantly, maintaining a thorough on-ground coordination with a team that ensured the couple's trip quality at all points.

This is what trusting Thrillophilia looked like, and Anirudh was glad he chose to let go of things for once.
