Some trips are planned months in advance.

Others begin with a simple conversation between friends.

For Kiran Sugur and his group, the idea was straightforward: take a break from work, daily responsibilities, and endless WhatsApp messages about "planning a trip someday". This time, the trip actually happened.

With six friends travelling together, the goal wasn't to cover every attraction in the Andaman Islands. It was to spend a few days doing things they normally wouldn't. That meant ferry rides across turquoise waters, early-morning beach visits, underwater adventures, and enough stories to keep future conversations going for months.

Over four days, the group discovered that Andaman is the kind of destination that works perfectly for a boys' getaway, equal parts relaxation and adventure, with plenty of opportunities for spontaneous fun in between.

The Kind of Trip That Gets Better with Friends

Some destinations are beautiful.

Some destinations are fun.

Andaman somehow manages to be both.

The trip started in Port Blair with a visit to Cellular Jail and Corbyn's Cove Beach. While the historic jail offered a glimpse into India's past, the beach introduced the group to the slower pace of island life.

But it was once they reached Havelock Island that the trip truly found its rhythm.

The ferry ride itself felt like the beginning of an adventure. Surrounded by open water and endless views of the sea, the group spent most of the journey doing what friends do best—talking, joking around, and taking far too many photos.

By the time they arrived, everyone was already in holiday mode.

The Stories Started Underwater

Every group trip usually has one experience that keeps coming up long after everyone returns home. For Kiran and his friends, that experience was the water. While Elephant Beach offered stunning views above the surface, the real excitement began below it.

The group decided to add activities like scuba diving and kayaking to the trip, and it quickly became one of the highlights of their Andaman adventure. Seeing colourful marine life up close and experiencing the underwater world of Havelock gave them stories that no photograph could fully capture.

Even the quieter moments felt memorable.

Watching the waves roll in after a long day, sitting together near the beach, and sharing reactions from the day's adventures became just as enjoyable as the activities themselves.

Looking back on the journey, Kiran shared:

"Our experience with Thrillophilia was really good. Especially the hotels and the pick-up and drop-off service. The coordinators in both Port Blair and Havelock were kind and covered all the places mentioned in the itinerary. Extra activities like scuba and kayaking were at an additional cost, but overall it was a good experience."

Not Every Highlight Was Planned

The Andaman sunset painted the shoreline with golden reflections and unforgettable memories

One of the best things about island trips is that sometimes the simplest moments become the most memorable.

For this group, Kalapathar Beach turned out to be one of those moments.

Unlike the adventure-filled atmosphere of Elephant Beach, Kalapathar felt quieter. The early-morning visit gave them a chance to see the sun slowly rise over the ocean while the island was still waking up.

There was no activity to rush towards. No schedule to follow. Just six friends standing by the shoreline, taking in a view that looked completely different from anything they had seen back home.

The ferry rides between islands became highlights, too. Instead of feeling like transfers, they felt like part of the adventure. Every journey came with sea views, island scenery, and the anticipation of discovering what was waiting at the next stop.

Why Kiran Would Recommend Andaman with Thrillophilia

Group trips can sometimes be complicated.

Coordinating multiple people, managing transportation, keeping everyone on schedule, and ensuring nobody misses out on experiences can quickly become stressful.

For Kiran's group, that never became a problem.

The hotel arrangements, transfers, and local coordination allowed the six friends to focus entirely on enjoying the destination instead of handling logistics. The support teams in both Port Blair and Havelock ensured everything moved smoothly from one experience to the next.

Four days later, Kiran, Chandan, Sachiketh, Ravichandra, Basavaraju, and Dakshinamurthy returned home with sunburnt faces, hundreds of photos, and enough stories to relive the trip long after it ended.

And if every successful boys' trip is measured by one thing, the number of times someone says, "We should do this again", then this one was a complete success.
