Weddings are busy. Between ceremonies, celebrations, family gatherings and a seemingly endless list of things to organise, the honeymoon can sometimes become one more item on the checklist.

For Harsh Mori and his wife, the plan was simple. They wanted a beautiful honeymoon and a chance to begin married life with a trip they could enjoy together. A Sunrise to Remember

The honeymoon began with an early start and an adventure into Bali’s volcanic landscape.

Harsh and his wife headed towards Mount Batur while the island was still wrapped in darkness. The early-morning journey built towards one of Bali’s most famous experiences, watching the first light appear over the mountains.

As the sky brightened, the volcanic landscape slowly came into view. The couple enjoyed a small breakfast afterwards before continuing with the day, carrying the quiet excitement of having started their honeymoon before sunrise.

It was an energetic beginning to their first full day in Bali, with the island waking up around them.

Mountains and a Little Fun

The next day brought the couple towards Kintamani, one of Bali’s most scenic regions. The landscape here is shaped by volcanic mountains, lush greenery and villages spread across the highlands.

A visit to a coffee plantation added a taste of local Bali to the day before the couple stopped for lunch. Then the mood shifted from scenic to playful with a Bali Swing experience.

Suspended above the greenery, the swing gave Harsh and his wife a chance to have some fun together while taking in the countryside around them. It also made for the kind of honeymoon photographs that tend to find their way into albums long after the holiday is over.

From Temples to the Sea

Bali’s temples became the focus of the following day as the couple travelled towards the island’s northern highlands.

The ornate Handara Gate appeared among the greenery, followed by Ulun Danu Beratan, the striking temple complex set beside Lake Beratan. With its shrines surrounded by water and mountains, the setting offered one of Bali’s most distinctive views.

By evening, the couple had made their way towards Tanah Lot. The temple sits dramatically on a rocky formation surrounded by the sea, making it one of the island’s most famous sunset locations. As daylight faded over the coastline, the couple found themselves watching another Bali sunset together.

Fun on the Water

The honeymoon took an adventurous turn the next day.

Harsh and his wife headed out for a day of water sports, with a banana boat ride, couple parasailing and jet skiing on the agenda. The activities brought plenty of energy to the day and gave the couple a chance to enjoy Bali from the water.

Later, they made their way to Padang Padang Beach, where the dramatic rocks and tropical coastline created a quieter setting. The evening continued at Uluwatu, perched high above the Indian Ocean.

Another sunset marked the end of the day, this time from Bali’s famous southern cliffs.

An Island of Their Own

The sixth day took the couple away from mainland Bali and towards Nusa Penida on a private West Island tour.

The island’s coastline offered a completely different side of Bali, with towering cliffs, hidden bays and vivid blue waters. Kelingking Beach provided one of the most dramatic viewpoints, with its distinctive cliff formation overlooking the sea.

The couple continued to Angel’s Billabong, Broken Bay and Bubu Beach, moving between some of Nusa Penida’s best-known coastal landscapes. They also had the option of complimentary snorkelling, depending on the time available. After several days of exploring Bali together, the Nusa Penida excursion gave them an entire day surrounded by some of the island region’s most striking scenery.
