Some trips you come back from feeling like you ticked boxes. Tushar and Simran came back from Bali feeling like they actually lived it. Eight days, multiple regions, temples and beaches and rivers and islands, and an itinerary that somehow held all of it together without ever feeling like a schedule. "It was all booked by Thrillophilia, like whatever I wanted to cover in Bali was already covered in the itinerary. It was so easy for me," Tushar said. That word, easy, is doing a lot of work in that sentence, and it earned every bit of it.

Choosing Ubud to Start the Trip

They landed at Ngurah Rai on the 25th of April and headed straight to Ubud, which is exactly where a Bali trip should begin if you want to understand the island before the beaches take over. Ubud sits inland, quieter and greener, and the first evening was theirs to find their feet. The Kuta Night Market, Kuta Square, and Kuta Theater were all nearby for anyone who wanted to wander, though after a flight, just being in Bali and breathing the air is activity enough.

The Temples, the Rice Fields, and Central Bali Doing Its Thing

High above Bali's tropical forests, Tushar found a view worth remembering forever

The second day was a full Central Bali sightseeing tour, and that's when the island really started to give the Bali  vibee. Central Bali is the cultural heartland, the rice terraces, the forest temples, the sounds and smells that don't exist anywhere else. Eight hours of it, privately transferred, with tickets included. Tushar mentioned going to "the heaven temple," which anyone who has stood at Lempuyang and looked out through those stone gates at Agung in the background will understand completely. It is one of those views that makes you feel like the photographer, the subject, and the audience all at once.

The Day the River and the Mud Roads Took Over

Day three was white water rafting on the Ayung River combined with a 90-minute ATV double-sharing ride, and this was clearly the moment the trip shifted gears entirely. The rafting on the Ayung takes you through a gorge of overhanging jungle and carved stone, the river doing exactly what rivers do when they have something to prove. "There were a lot of photorealistic spots," Tushar said, which is a very honest way of describing what happens when the landscape keeps appearing around corners like it was staged. Complimentary local lunch was included, which after a morning like that, landed at exactly the right time.

East Bali: Lempuyang, Tirta Gangga, and Lahangan Sweet

Tushar embraced Bali's rich traditions with a touch of royal charm

The east tour on day four was a ten-hour private trip to Lempuyang Temple, Tirta Gangga, and Lahangan Sweet. Lempuyang is the one everyone has seen in photographs, the Gates of Heaven framing Mount Agung on a clear day. In person it is even more striking, partly because of the climb to get there and partly because the mountain does not always cooperate, which makes the clear-day view feel genuinely earned. Tirta Gangga, the old royal water palace with its tiered fountains and lily-covered pools, was a slower and cooler counterpoint to the morning. Lahangan Sweet gave them the panoramic views that rounded the whole day out.

The North, the Lake Temple, and a Sunset That Earned Its Name

Tushar captured one of Bali's most iconic views, framed by the majestic Gates of Heaven

Day five was a ten and a half hour sweep across some of Bali's most iconic landmarks. Handara Gate in the north, framed by mist and pine forest in a way that feels nothing like the rest of the island. Then Ulun Danu Beratan, the temple that appears to float on Lake Beratan, one of those places that looks exactly like its photographs and still manages to surprise you. And then Tanah Lot at sunset, the sea temple sitting on its rock as the tide came in and the sky did what Bali skies do in the last hour of daylight.

Water Sports, Uluwatu, and the Kecak Fire Dance

Tushar embraced the thrill of Bali's iconic jungle swing while soaking in breathtaking valley views

Day six moved between two very different versions of Bali. The morning was Tanjung Benoa beach, parasailing, banana boat, and jet ski. Pure sea and speed and the kind of morning that leaves your hair permanently salt-crusted by noon. The afternoon was Uluwatu, the clifftop temple above the Indian Ocean, and then the Kecak Fire Dance at sunset with the sea as the backdrop. The contrast between the two halves of that day was very deliberate and worked completely.

Nusa Penida and a Balinese Massage at the End of It

Tushar explored Bali's adventurous side

Day seven was the longest and arguably the most spectacular. A speedboat to Nusa Penida, then a full west island tour covering Kelingking Beach, Angel's Billabong, Broken Bay, and Crystal Bay, with complimentary snorkelling included. Kelingking is the one with the cliff shaped like a T-Rex head and the beach at the bottom that looks completely unreachable and somehow is not. The colours there, the blue of the water against the white of the limestone, are genuinely difficult to photograph in a way that does them justice.

Then at the end of a twelve and a half hour day, a two-hour Balinese massage. Which at that point was not a luxury. It was a necessity. And it was perfect.

Tushar’s Amazing Experience with Thrillophilia

Tushar was right about this. "Whatever I wanted to cover in Bali was already covered in the itinerary. It was so easy for me."

That ease didn't happen by accident. Eight days across multiple regions, an island excursion, water sports, temple tours, adventure activities, private transfers throughout - the kind of trip that has a lot of moving parts. The fact that none of those parts required Tushar to think about them is the whole point. The itinerary was built around what he actually wanted to see and do, the transfers were handled end to end, and the activities were sequenced in a way that made each day feel natural rather than rushed.

“Recently I had an amazing trip to Bali with Thrillophilia, and the entire experience was truly memorable. Everything was very well organized — from hotel stays and transfers to sightseeing and activities. The team was supportive throughout the trip and made sure everything went smoothly. We enjoyed a lot ",says Simran.
