There are trips you enjoy and trips you genuinely cannot stop thinking about after you get home. For Tarun Sharma, his wife Sunita, and their six-year-old daughter Divisha, three nights at Sun Siyam Olhuveli in October 2025 were firmly the second kind. "It was an unforgettable trip," Tarun said in his review, and the way he described every part of it makes it very easy to believe him.
It is the kind of itinerary that was simple on paper and exceptional in execution. Sometimes that is exactly the right formula.
Arriving at Sun Siyam Olhuveli

They landed at Velana International Airport and were transferred to the resort by speedboat, which for a six-year-old is already a memorable experience in itself. Sun Siyam Olhuveli sits in the South Male Atoll, and the speedboat ride across open water with the atolls appearing on the horizon is the kind of arrival that tells you immediately this trip is going to be different.
The first night was in a Sunset Beach Pavilion, and the name gives away exactly what the experience is. A beach villa with direct access to the sand, the Indian Ocean right outside, and a sunset that does what Maldives sunsets are famous for doing.
All-inclusive from the moment they checked in, which meant no decisions to make about where to eat or what to order. Just show up, settle in, and let the resort do what it does.
Moving Into the Grand Water Villa

From day two, they moved into a Grand Water Villa with Pool, and this is where the trip became something else entirely. A private pool, the lagoon underneath, the ocean stretching out in every direction. For a family with a young child, a private pool in a water villa is genuinely perfect. Divisha had her own pool above the Maldivian lagoon, which is the kind of thing a six-year-old will be talking about for years.
The next two days were entirely at leisure, which is exactly what three nights at a place like Sun Siyam Olhuveli calls for. The all-inclusive package meant the restaurants were always an option, the food was always taken care of, and the only real decision each morning was whether to spend the day in the pool, on the beach, or in the water. For a family that had come to properly switch off, that kind of freedom is the whole point.
How Thrillophilia Made the Trip Better!
Tarun was thorough in his review, and every line of it means something. "A big thanks to the entire team for supporting and perfectly planning our trip to the Maldives. Everything was well-aligned and executed with timely communication and clear guidance throughout. From the initial enquiry to the completion of the trip, every detail was taken care of seamlessly."
That last part is the important one. From initial enquiry to completion. A Maldives trip sounds simple, but the details add up quickly. Resort selection, villa category, all-inclusive versus room-only, speedboat timings, making sure a trip works for a couple and a young child at the same time. Getting all of that right requires someone who is actually paying attention from the very beginning.
Tarun rated the property five out of five across every aspect and described the food, restaurants, and overall premises as "simply fantabulous," which is a word that does not get used unless something has genuinely exceeded expectations. "The rooms were immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully maintained," he said. "Truly appreciate the utmost care, hospitality, and quality of service we experienced."
Three nights. One beach villa, then two nights in a water villa with a private pool. An all-inclusive package that meant the family never had to think about anything except enjoying themselves. A six-year-old with her own pool above the ocean. And parents who came home with the kind of review that only a really good trip produces.
The Maldives delivered. The resort delivered. And the planning that made it all come together delivered too.
