Some trips happen after months of planning. Others happen because old friends finally decide that "we should travel together someday" has been postponed for long enough.
For Gayathri, Padmavathi, and Bhavani, Rajasthan became exactly that. After spending years balancing work, family, and everyday responsibilities, the three friends decided it was finally time to take a holiday together. They wanted a journey where they could explore grand forts, bustling markets, desert landscapes, and historic cities without worrying about the planning behind it all.
With their hotels, sightseeing, and private transfers already arranged, they arrived in Jaipur ready to simply enjoy the experience.
Looking back after returning home, Gayathri described it best: "We had a very memorable trip for Rajasthan... a great experience we had."
Beginning the Journey in Jaipur
Their holiday began in Jaipur, where a private vehicle arranged by Thrillophilia was already waiting to take them from the airport to their hotel. After checking in and relaxing for a while, they stepped out to discover the city that introduces so many travellers to Rajasthan.
Their first afternoon included some of Jaipur's most recognisable landmarks. They admired the intricate façade of Hawa Mahal before exploring the fascinating astronomical instruments at Jantar Mantar. A visit to the magnificent City Palace offered a glimpse into Jaipur's royal past, while the evening brought a calmer pace at Govind Dev Ji Temple before they wandered through the lively lanes of Johri Bazaar. Between colourful textiles, handcrafted jewellery, and local snacks, it was the perfect place to soak in the city's energy.
The first day never felt rushed. Instead, it eased them into the rhythm of Rajasthan while leaving plenty of time to simply enjoy being together after so long.
Exploring Jaipur's Royal Side
The next morning began with breakfast at the hotel before their private sightseeing vehicle arrived for a full day around Jaipur. Having transportation arranged in advance meant they could spend the day enjoying each stop instead of worrying about directions or local travel.
Amer Fort welcomed them with its impressive courtyards, intricate mirror work, and stories of Rajasthan's royal past. From there, they continued to Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort, where panoramic views stretched across the Pink City. A quick stop at Jal Mahal added another memorable photograph to the album before they visited the serene Birla Temple, whose white marble architecture stood out beautifully against the afternoon sky.
Reflecting on the trip later, Gayathri especially appreciated how smoothly everything had been organised, mentioning the team's "very good coordination" throughout the journey. It allowed the three friends to simply enjoy each destination without constantly thinking about logistics.
From Jaipur to Jodhpur
On the third day, they checked out of Jaipur and began the drive towards Jodhpur. The changing scenery outside the car gradually introduced a different side of Rajasthan before the Blue City finally appeared on the horizon.
After checking into their hotel, they headed to Mehrangarh Fort, whose towering walls overlook almost every corner of Jodhpur. Walking through its palaces and courtyards offered another fascinating glimpse into Rajasthan's royal history. Nearby, the peaceful Jaswant Thada provided a quieter contrast with its elegant white marble architecture.
Their evening ended at the bustling Ghanta Ghar market, where they wandered through shops selling handicrafts, spices, textiles, and local delicacies. Like every other day of the trip, the sightseeing and transfers had already been planned, allowing them to move comfortably from one experience to the next.
Desert Evenings in Jaisalmer

The journey continued the following morning as they travelled to Jaisalmer, Rajasthan's famous Golden City. Along the way, they stopped at the Jaisalmer War Museum before entering a city where almost everything seemed to glow in shades of golden sandstone.
Exploring Jaisalmer Fort felt different from visiting most historic forts because life continues within its ancient walls even today. Narrow lanes led them past temples, old homes, cafés, and shops that have existed for generations, making the fort feel like a living part of the city rather than just a monument.
As evening approached, the landscape transformed once again when they reached the Sam Sand Dunes. Riding camels across the desert as the sun slowly disappeared behind the dunes became one of the highlights of the journey. The adventure continued with a jeep safari before they arrived at their Swiss desert camp, where dinner was followed by traditional Rajasthani folk music and dance under the open night sky.
The comfortable accommodation made the experience even more enjoyable. Looking back, Gayathri shared, "Stay was very decent, clean and hygiene was maintained very well," appreciating how every stay throughout the trip met their expectations.
Exploring Jaisalmer Before Heading Back

The next morning offered one final opportunity to discover Jaisalmer beyond its desert landscapes. Their sightseeing began with a peaceful walk around Gadisar Lake before they explored some of the city's most remarkable havelis.
Patwon Ki Haveli impressed them with its intricate sandstone carvings, Nathmal Ki Haveli showcased a fascinating blend of architectural styles, and Salim Singh Ki Haveli stood out with its distinctive peacock-shaped roof. Every building seemed to tell another chapter of Rajasthan's rich history.
Later that afternoon, they began the drive back to Jodhpur for their overnight stay. Although they had covered several cities within just a few days, the itinerary never felt overwhelming. The balance between sightseeing, travel time, and moments to simply relax made the entire journey feel comfortable from beginning to end.
One Last Stop Before Home

Their final day began with breakfast before they checked out and started the drive back towards Jaipur. On the way, they stopped at Pushkar to visit the famous Brahma Temple, adding one last destination to an already memorable journey.
The drive to the airport was quieter than the days before. With phones full of photographs and conversations already drifting towards favourite memories from the trip, it was clear that Rajasthan had offered much more than forts and palaces. It had given the three friends six days of shared experiences that they would continue talking about long after returning home.
Why They Recommend Thrillophilia
When Gayathri reflected on the journey later, she realised that what made the trip feel so effortless wasn't just the destinations they visited but how smoothly everything came together behind the scenes. From hotel bookings and private transfers to sightseeing arrangements, every detail had already been planned, allowing the three friends to spend their time enjoying Rajasthan instead of managing travel logistics.
She especially appreciated the support they received throughout the journey, writing, "Ms. Teena was so helpful from the day of our plan till the end." That consistent assistance by Thrillophilia, combined with comfortable stays and seamless coordination, made the entire experience feel reassuring from the moment they booked until the day they returned home.
Summing up the trip, Gayathri wrote, "I recommend this team for all... we enjoyed a lot... thanks to the entire team for making this trip memorable for a lifetime."
For Gayathri, Padmavathi, and Bhavani, Rajasthan became far more than six days of sightseeing. It became a journey through royal cities, desert sunsets, colourful markets, and centuries of history. And that’s what made it even more special because they experienced it together.
